Nominated.
Status: Complete
Charlie's Angel is a first person story, written from the perspective of a girl named charlie, an undercover detective that spends the first chapter discovering two bodies and having a gun pointed to her back.
The prologue is by far the weakest chapter out of the total seventeen, what with the slightly dull explanation of how Jay and Charlie meet at the very beginning of the story. However once that is done and out of the way it is an easy and enjoyable read.
The prose is written with a great sense of humor, which is what interested me and kept me reading the most. Humorous sentences such as: Being an undercover cop was a blessing, but it was a deadly blessing. You were constantly given jobs to send thieves, murderers, rapists etc behind bars. It was nothing short of exciting, that's for sure. And it really got exciting when people started stalking you and sending you death threats. But the pay was great.
There's a few mistakes here and there but the twists in the story certainly make up for that.
